Training Of Trainers – I’m Now a Master Trainer of Volunteers and Facilitators

I can understand the question running in your mind when reading the title, “What is she talking about? Master trainer? How?” well, I kindly suggest you to read my article completely to get the answer for all the questions that are rising now in your mind.

We, as the volunteers and facilitators of EWRF, are required to attend the training session called Training of Trainers in which the participants will be trained to be well trained facilitators as well as volunteers that could stand out among the rest. I attended this session but my greatest luck, that I had the opportunity to be the participant of the Master TOT 2016 which was held as Phase I and Phase II in Grand Pacific Hotel in different dates.

In these training sessions, I had many new experiences by meeting with many new facilitators and well taught trainers from all over Malaysia. Master TOT Phase I was conducted on January 8th, 9th and 10th and Master TOT Phase II was conducted on the 20th and 21st February 2016. In both training sessions, I realised that, a volunteer need a lot of qualities that is really essential to make a difference in the community and the power of a volunteer is not a small one.

Not only that, being a facilitator is not an easy job too because we were taught on how to handle problematic students and how to get them to the track of our programs. Being a facilitator and Volunteer, I had learned a lot of new things from Mr Kuga, who was one of the trainer that trained us during the session. After the completion of the these two training sessions, I realised that I have changed a lot in order to be the right and good facilitator and volunteer.

Many of the participants like me requested EWRF to conduct more training sessions like this as this was really helpful and beneficial for everyone who was a part of this session. After this program, I realise that, as volunteers, together we can change the world to be a better one.
